- Underage players may move up if at the appropriate skill level and maturity as determined by the Board. Players that are overage will be assessed on a case by case basis if in a younger age category. However, every effort should be made to play within their age group even if they are in a transitional year and exceptions need to be approved by the Board.
Rocky Minor Hockey Association
- Rocky Trail Blazers operates independent of Rocky Minor Hockey Association as an alternative for families or participants who wish to play hockey with less commitment at an affordable price. Both organizations fall under Hockey Alberta but in separate streams, meaning that players would not be able to be affiliated or freely move between 'Rec' and "Minor'. Once registering for a season, the only way a player would be able to participate in the other stream is if the family quit the stream they were in and registered in the other.
- A comparison of the program types can be found on our Information Page.
-
No Player Movement Form is required when transferring to Recreation Hockey. These forms are only necessary for players who were previously registered with Minor Hockey and transferring to a different Minor Hockey organization. These forms are only intended to be signed between Minor Hockey organizations (e.g. if previously registered with RMHA and wanting to register with Blindman or Caroline). Rocky Trail Blazers does not sign Player Movement Forms.
- Those previously registered in Minor or Rec hockey and changing between organizations are required to request a change through the organization they are registering with:
- Rocky Minor Hockey Association - Amanda Weinkauf (amandaweinkauf1030@gmail.com)
